Missions in the Hood.
Wow, very interesing, I would bet that this issue of "Minorities in in Reformed churches" is on the hearts of many. This problem begs for more discusson and eventually change for Gods glory. I myself am Latino and Reformed in hopes of pastoring a church in which makes this article strike a cord. I fully agree that on some level a pastor should be well biblically learned in order to hold a pastoral office. But its sad that the refomed church has not addressed this any sooner. It must first start with reaching the minority population. Building a church in the center of our target and breaking loose from comfort zones. And this does not mean we have to find a black or latino pastor to lead such a mission but anyone who is fit to lead such a needed change. I also feel the
Reformed church has to support this new church financially and with prayer. I am former pentecostal who was once unaware of christ aside from experiences but through good friends the Lord has revealed Himself to me and my family by the STUDY of his WORD. Knowing Reformed Theology has truly helped me to hold the Sciptures to light to guide me through darkness. This is what many churches lack, the ability to teach the scriptures. If there were one reformed church in every ghetto across america teaching and raising up strong christians we would not be having this discussion.
