Reformed Charismatics: From Geneva to Azusa
1:00 PM Monday, May 5, 2008Generally, most think of those classified as "Reformed" as nothing more than stodgy, over-bearing Calvinists. Perhaps such a stereotype is elevated due to the fact that the majority of Reformed theologians hold to a cessationist view of the charismatic gifts (i.e. "tongues," miracles, or healing).
Such a stereotype may be changing. In the May issue of Christianity Today a professor from Calvin College is speaking out about how he is able to be Reformed, and Charismatic . . . interesting.
I'll be doing a complete post on this very soon. Stay posted for this forthcoming blog . . .
Three cheers for cesationism!
